A great story and a twisted tale of love, kidnapping, fear and deception. The author keeps you wanting to turn the pages and find out how it all ends. You can just close your eyes and picture being right there with the characters. Great book that will make you smile from start to finish.

This one had one of the best context and geography of Crete together with a realistic story, that did make me howl at times!

Pure escapism, totally predictable but a lovely story to read in a miserable dark winter. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

I’ve loved reading these 2 books. I am glad there will be more to follow and I look forward to reading them too. I love Greece but not returning till next year so it’s lovely to read these at home in Cornwall taking me back there (in my head ?) until then.

Sand In My Shoes

Sunsets & Sand Dunes

You know that feeling when you return home from a couple of weeks of holiday and everything is a bit blah? You do your washing, get the shopping in and get ready to go back to work. The sunset cocktails, the quaint cobbled streets and little fishing villages now seem like a lifetime away. There's been no cooking, washing up or ironing for at least a week and you had time to just sit with a cold beer in a frosted glass watching the sailboats, effortlessly drifting by, dreaming of a life where this was forever.

When you unpack your suitcase and your crumpled clothes remind you of the last time you wore them, on that balmy night drinking cocktails in that beach bar, or that towel that is still a bit damp from your last day at the pool?

Now imagine this after a week of holiday romance. A holiday full of Greek dancing, exhilarating adventure and sunset kisses.

Ella's Story

Well, my new short story is about Ella, who has returned home from her trip to Crete full of memories of the time she spent with her new-found friends and of course, the hot Greek barman, Yiannis. She reminisces about her evenings at The Lemon Tree Bar, and of course that special night in Chania with Yiannis, and who could forget that memorable day at Elafonissi beach? She knows that holiday romances aren’t supposed to last, and she is resigned to that fact, but she just can’t seem to shake the sand from her shoes or the thought of Yiannis and what could have been….

Soundtrack

The title comes from my favourite Dido song - Sand In My Shoes - which could be the soundtrack to this story. If you don't know it, I recommend downloading it from wherever you get your music or check out the lyrics on the t'internet - sadly, for copyright reasons, I am unable to write them out here - but apparently, I am allowed to link to her video, so here you go.

The story is FREE to anyone who signs up for my newsletter, the link is on my Home page.

You can download the story to your Kobo, Kindle or on Pdf so you can read it anywhere on multiple devices! I suggest hitting the sunlounger with a glass of something cold. Just lay back and dream of Greece.
